Wed night

Wah....already back at work again today, so so fast...already rested 3 days but due to my flu thing, hardly have time to fully recover before going back to work. And the air-con is a killer....so so cold as we have lesser people and machines working.
Plus to the fact that today's weather was having shower for the whole day.So...again the runny nose lor.

4D...also no luck lor, missed out 9K for starter 2009. Came in as 2059. I was looking ahead for next year no.

Over-all....things are still pretty slow and things would likely to get worst before it can be better. Best to keep on higher grounds just like having the floods hehehe.

On my personal life front....also super low profile at the moment. Best....to keep it that way as work is not stable and many big bosses in the company are playing politics to bact stabbed each other before people see thru the problem lor. GF..issue
also super low profile and as long I know that honey is spending time with the family I wouldn't asked for more lor.

Flat issue....still not sold, yes....lesser people/viewers coming over for views. So far....max is 10K above the valuation. I asked for 20K but would let go at 17K cash.
Since no more any chance for another big gain.....trusted him a again.

Wishing one and all "A Merry X.mas abd A Happy 2009 to all"

Old man's first anniversary

What the fuck?...so fast lor already 1 year is gone. Today is his 1st anniversary and also my own 24th wedding anniversary. Have already know my better half for the past 32 years. We have gone thru "thick and thin". Hopefully this will continue for another 32 years or more. Sometime in life....we may not end-up with the most loved person in our present life lor. So....we take the next best thing and do whatever it takes to make it right.

Went to the church and his niche to mention about his 1st yr thing to him lor. When I sold off my flat...then I won't be able to visit that often.

4D and toto....also is a goner lor. Well....small investment so not that bad lor. Bought toto with his dates and so on. eg 1, 7, 9, 12, 18, 20, 25, 30, 36 from this set of numbers...to combine for system 7. Total spent...$14 hahaha for 2 draws. One down....another one to go lor.

Happy to noticed that things are smooth....with honey lor. Kids...growing and well-behaved too.

thursday

Wah lan.....came to work and already heard about another big cut for the next Qtr schedule while this current Qtr's issues haven't actually settled yet. Really sad lor. Most likely to have another round of letting go of headcounts by the early next month lor since the production was cut.

Also sad that I don't have kena any 4D or toto lately too. Have already checked the toto result for today lor....well since I bought for 2 draws, will lookout for the result on the coming Monday.

Beside all these bad news above....life moves on lor. What else to do but to move along lor with the time and situation. At the same time to lower my own profile to
stay out of sight and mind of the boss lor hehehe.

Frankly.....what come may also can but just becoz of the house thing, best not to kena the retrenchment now lor, but then again....can escape this round what about the rounds after that. Production staffs will always face with this issue........
once production down....headcount has to be down too. No other choice...already
told my better half that I will go work for the "garmen" if got the chance.

We are almost coming to the end of 2008, what is lousy year for all?

Man.....what a lousy 2008 year for all. Hardly anyone did come out of this year....untouch by the hard times. Me included.....really kena "FUCKED UP"
left, right and centre!!! WTF lor.

Hope the coming 2009 would be a better year for all....including me lor. I really
need that lor. Never had any worst year than this 2008.....esp with my investment
front. Never ever loss so much money and confidence....ever! Even.....lose
my honey also....till that bad lor. Guess this is the pit for me lor.

Now.....with me in the PIT, what else can go wrong???? Really???? Just so
bad that.....feel like the god has "foresaken" the people.

Today's 4D....also no smell, which is to be expected lor anyway didn't buy
much so it is okay.

Up-date

Me....still sick after 2 whole weeks. Now into my 3rd week with flu and cough still.
After so much medicine.....brain also dead or coma. Sleep....eat and sleep again but still super tired when awake. When sleeping also got full of dreams....but can't remember anything when wake up....mind just not sleeping at all during the supposed sleep time.

Luck....NIL, anyway also didn't buy anything much just car and house no. Tomorrow is 15th of the lunar month. So will go pray pray.....lor.

For the flat selling thingy....many viewers but only got offers up to 12K cash. What I want is 18K minimum. That will made a total of 335 and 18 = 353K lor. Hope to settle this issue fast. So that I can start looking for a place near Ngee Ann poly lor. Maybe rent a condo first then....look for a 3 or 4 room HDA near Bt Timah or Clementi area. Want to be near the poly....so that my wife and kid need not travel too far to get to school.
For me....no problem as I still have the car. Come to worst....maybe get house at Bt Batok lor after 6 mths later. Expect the housing price to drop by then.

For the meanwhile....will pay off all loans and stay low profile for all investments with the profit from the sale. No more chance if screw-up in future, so gotto live with a lower profile....meaning no more fucking around PERIOD!!!

Totally....expect to be a monk soon lor. HOPEFULLY lor....if possible hehehe and seem things are pointing to that direction!!! And will try my best for everyone and my own sake too.

Dire situation

Shit...out of the blue the situation now is really dire....esp with the work order being slashed every week. Not a single week past without lower order or cancelled order. Until the plant will shut down for 1 whole week for the Xmas period which by right is our most busiest period of the year for other years. In fact for the first time in my 12 years working here....this is the worst crisis.

So sad ....when I saw the BBC news this evening before going to work about the situation in Russia and Eastern Euro. Also worst condition with almost 30 % of the people out of jobs and whole family having trouble with payment and food esp during this Xmas session.

Looking back....the situation now is just a start for us here in S'pore, things will get much worst before it can get better. Not likely to be soon. Looking at the condo situation esp with people buying earlier of this year and late last year when the TOP coming up soon....paying only the 5% with the rest on deferred payment. So....when TOP when they need to pay the rest of the money the banks won't be lending them the agreed amount becoz of the fall in valuation. Then the whole market will hit the deck....many people will be without their CPF and no house too. If they lose their jobs....then they will end up with nothing. Not even a roof over their heads. What a dire thot? Really bad....SO SAD lor.

Esp the medicine, after taking it I can sleep the whole day and still not enough. And after 1 week of so much sleeping....still want to sleep. But not complete type of sleep, full of weird dreams ( dreamt of my mother and father ).

Now...even the best food is tasteless for me, can only taste sweet or salty.

4D up-date

hahaha...at last, car's number again came in 2nd prize on the Big Sweep draw on Wed.
2958....instead of my actual number of 5928. Anyway still kena the "I-bet" 2K but after whacking this set of numbers since Oct, at least recoup some money lor. If actual number...then can kena much more than 2K lor.

Given 2 days mc but still went to work as usual as we had a retrenchment exercise today, not nice for other people to take over my job doing this. So...went in and get the job done. At 10.15pm....will go off to fetch kid from vivo city.

MUMBAI - terrorist attack & Lo Hwei Yen

Well....in this modern time we still have to live with some "nut" cases who will go all out to kill as many people as possible in the name of their religion. Really should be "hanged by their toes" upside down until they "rot". Just not quite understand their fxxking ideological about other people's life.

Now...this Lo Hwei Yen just happened to be in the wrong place in the wrong time and she paid with her life. For that...it is really sad for that she is both young and up-coming person. A waste of life....

I am also sure....these terrorists also killed people of their own religion then what. If they really want to do something then they should go and shoot each other for the fun of it lor. SUPER idiots!!!!

They won't win any pity for their cause by shooting/killing civilians. Initially I am pretty open to see things on the other sides....eg Tibet & Dalai Lama and what is happening in places with religion/tribal conflicts. Now....what I see are people just out to regain their personal power by brain-washing some idiots to kill themselves and at the same time...blow up others too. To me....if they ( so-called leaders ) so fanatic about the cause then they should stand-up and do the blowing up themselves. Then we can see whether they are still so fanatic about it. So...in the end, I will never see these so-called leaders as "Heroes" but just cowards hiding behind other people backs. The days of "heroes" are over....like those who would lead their army by riding in front in battles. Now....they are just fcuking cowards
hiding here and there.

Up-date on the happening

Terrorist attacks in India....protest and the take-over of airports in Thailand, then the usual pirates' attacks in Somalia. Beside the above.....earthquakes here and there.

Things don't look good. Best...to start slow down and keep a low profile esp for myself. Things are slow....and good if I can protect what I have. Don't think that I will be a hero.

Friday - lunar 1st of 11th mth

POWER....went to Waterloo St temple to get a chiam see. Hold and behold....no 77, and it is not a good one. And I really appreciated the advice it gave.

Fortune is made in dream only....and the moment one wakes up the dream goes "pop" and vanished. But all is not lost if one is to wait and to have patient until one's benefactor appears. Meanwhile....one must pray for health and safety at workplace, then smile will yet come to you.

So....guess I have to control my spending and wait out for the right moment to do any serious investment. In fact....already missed the boat with that becoz I was supposed to buy into Indo Agri on last Tues but just missed out by 1 cent. Bid for 39 cents but went to only 40 cents then stayed there....after on Wed, it started to move up again till todate at 46.5 cents. Guess no luck lor.

On my way to the temple....at CTE, I was travelling at about 120kph and as I was over-taking a picanto....the driver suddenly swing into my path and I just stepped on the gas and in one moment....passed him but still whacked into the side mirror. SHIT!!! the beauty was that I was super calm....just drove to the side and waited for him. He drove up and I went up to his car....just stared at him and he turned around to say....no damage to his car then I waved him on. My car....also slight stretch mark on my side mirror and should be able to clean off. Just my luck lor.

He was ahead of me....and when he saw me coming fast, he signaled that he gave way but suddenly he decided to cut back into my path when the car in front of him slowed down....by that time, guessed I am at his blind-side and I didn't horn him. I never like to horn anyone....in fact what he does was a sudden thing and too late for me to horn to alert him. If...I chicken out then I would have ramped into the barrier as I was on the 1st lane ( fast lane ).

Nepal 'Buddha Boy' returns to jungle

KATHMANDU (AFP) – A young man believed by followers to be a reincarnation of Buddha has returned to Nepal's jungles to meditate alone, police said Saturday, as scholars cast doubt on his supporters' claims.

Known as the "Buddha Boy," Ram Bahadur Bomjam, 18, became famous in 2005 after supporters said he could meditate motionless for months without water, food or sleep.

"Bomjam went back into the jungle late Friday and all the devotees have left," police officer Gobinda Kushwaha told AFP from Neejgad, a town in Bara District, 60 kilometres (37.5 miles) south of Kathmandu.

The "Buddha Boy" reappeared earlier this month after supporters said in March 2007 that he was going to meditate for three years in an underground bunker, although he was spotted on two occasions.

For the last 10 days, he has been blessing thousands of devotees who came daily to the site in dense jungle close to Neejgad.

The president of the Nepal Buddhist Council said claims by his supporters that he was a reincarnation of Siddartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism, were not credible.

"We do not believe he is Buddha. He does not have Buddha's qualities," said Mahiswor Raj Bajracharya, president of the Nepal Buddhist Council, a centre for Buddhist study and research in Kathmandu.

"He may have achieved great heights in meditation, but that alone does not make him a Buddha. A Buddha needs life experience, a young man who has not seen the world at all cannot be a Buddha," said Bajracharya.

Despite being officially secular under the new Maoist government, Nepal -- where around 80 per cent of people are Hindu and 11 per cent are Buddhist -- remains a deeply spiritual place.

"This is a country where people worship idols and stones, and everyone educated or not believes in the supernatural," the Buddhist scholar said.

Some 7,000 people gathered Friday to hear the youth speak.

"Materialism has brought forth fear, worry and disputes and has created war in this country. One should follow religion and philosophy for inner happiness," Bomjam told the crowds in a 15-minute address.

People joined a six-kilometre (3.75-mile) queue to be blessed, a wait that 43-year-old farmer Singha Bahadur Tamang said was worthwhile.

"This is a miracle and he is the reincarnation of Lord Buddha himself," said Tamang, who traveled eight hours by bus to hear Bomjam speak.

"I've been here for the last 10 days and the feeling is amazing. I really feel at peace here," he said.

The head of the committee that organises events around Bomjam insists he survives without food and water.

"We have never seen him eat or drink and we believe he's a god in human form," said Bed Bahadur Thing, president of the Buddha Jungle Meditation Conservation and Prosperity Committee.

At the height of Bomjam's fame, a French TV crew filmed the youth eating fruit and an AFP correspondent caught him napping.

On Friday, visitors to the jungle site put money into collection boxes, though Thing declined to say how much had been collected.

"Many people say we're just doing this for the money, but we have expenses for volunteers, food, security and maintenance," he said.

"After he has gone back into the jungle, we will make our accounts public."

Saturday - end of the work week for me again

With the daily drop for the stock markets around the world, I just can't help to feel helpless and having the feeling that the world is spinning out of control. To make it worst....while watching the news on BBC, one can see the effects of this meltdown. Protests here and there....fighting.....pirate attacks near Africa....
more earthquakes and other natural disasters happening all over the places. Not a single day....a peaceful day.

What does all of the above sum up lei????? End of the world soon?????

At my workplace....also talks about a 30% retrenchment coming up soon. Yes! going to have one soon...in fact maybe next week or latest end of this month. Then there will be next one before end of next month. Just suddenly....all orders cut!!! What a shock!!!!!

Am selling my flat....and have quite a few buyers looking these few days. And I am asking for 25K above valuation of 335K. So far....one offer of 10K above valuation.
At some nights/days....while sleeping I suddenly woke up thinking what the "fuck" is happening??? Is it a good decision??? Because....after selling I am supposed to rent a flat then to buy later....maybe in 6 mths time. The fear is that I maybe out of job by then....how to get a bank loan? Yes....a huge risk I am taking to max out my present situation but I cannot foresee the future anymore. If come to the worst then may have to pull my daughter into the loan thing lor. I am losing sleep over this.

If all else fail.....then, it is the end of me lor. I am placing my last BET and that is double or nothing with my LIFE!!! Have done my math....just death by normal means = 1.25 mil and by accident = 1.55 mil. Frankly....make no different how I go.

Ignore the Stock Market Until February - good advice!!

Down in the morning, up in the afternoon. Or is it the other way around? The topsy-turvy stock market is tough to read.

In the last year, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has briefly been over 13,000 and below 8,000. The past month has felt like the Cyclone roller coaster on Brooklyn's Coney Island -- lots of ups and downs, the whole rickety thing feeling like it's going to crash at any minute.

Great investors are taught to listen to the market. Each tick of the tape has something to say about expectations for growth, inflation, policy changes and looming recessions. The stock market is like a giant mass of pulsing plasma doing price discovery and a game of hot potato, getting stocks into the correct hands with the right risk profile. It's way too big for any one person to manipulate, let alone touch directly. Instead, millions of us provide input with our buying and selling decisions.

When it's at its most efficient, with buyers and sellers neatly matched up at the right price, it's a pretty good predictor. The Crash of 1929 announced a recession, and the wake-up call unheeded might have caused many of the bad policies leading to the Great Depression. The Crash of 1987? Not so much.

You see, the market is a great manipulator. In September, the Dow dropped 700 points intraday after the House of Representatives voted down the Treasury's TARP bank-rescue bill. Spooked, the House passed the bill the next week. Or how about this? The Dow was up 300 points on Election Day applauding an Obama victory and then down 1,600 points since.

The market can also be a bold-faced liar. On Jan. 22, the Fed announced an emergency 75-basis-point rate cut in response to huge drops in European markets. A few days later, it came out that a rogue trader at Société Générale lost them $7 billion and the bank was unwinding his positions. Oops.

So which is it now: an efficient mechanism or a manipulating liar? Should you listen to it warning of doom or anticipating renewal? I'd say stick wax in your ears and don't listen to the market until February.

Don't get me wrong. The freezing of the credit markets is wreaking havoc on the world economy. Corporate profits are dropping. Central banks are fighting off deflation and may not turn off the spigots fast enough -- which could ignite runaway inflation. But because of the credit mess, I am convinced the stock market is at its least efficient today. Don't read too much into any move. Here are the five biggest dislocations taking place:

- Tax-loss selling: Whenever you have a loss in a stock -- and who doesn't -- it's always tax smart to sell it, take a tax loss and either buy something similar or wait 30 days and buy the original one back. December can be an ugly month of indiscriminate selling. The December effect will be huge this year.

- Mutual-fund redemptions: Mutual funds are also dumped for tax losses. When the stock market is down in the morning, it's usually because of mutual-fund redemptions.

Fidelity's giant Magellan fund, down 56%, is one of many in the $6 trillion stock-fund business having an awful year. As investors call or click to get out of these funds, Fidelity and the others have to unload shares the next morning to raise cash. This forced-selling overwhelms the system. New York Stock Exchange specialists, who are supposed to maintain an orderly market, stop buying and back away. You get huge drops, which can unnerve even more investors and cause them to redeem.

- Mutual fund cap-gain distributions: To make matters worse, in December mutual funds do capital-gains distributions. In a down year like 2008, you would think there are no taxes to pay. Think again. Legg Mason's Value Trust, run by Bill Miller, outperformed the market for 15 years by buying many "unvalue" names like Amazon. As investors redeem, he is forced to sell many of these stocks originally purchased at very low prices, triggering huge capital gains in a year his fund is down 62%. You can almost guarantee investors also will sell more of these funds to pay their unexpected tax bill.

- Hedge-fund redemptions: Instead of overnight selling like mutual funds, hedge funds typically require 45 days' notice for investors to get out of a fund. They've been furiously selling since September to raise cash to pay investors. This usually shows up as a set of stocks that just go down and down and down with no obvious explanation.

Rubbing salt in hedge-fund wounds is the fact that Lehman Brothers was a prime broker to many hedge funds, holding their shares. While Lehman's bankruptcy was not a problem in the U.S., in England the policy is to freeze accounts until the mess can be sorted out. There are billions in assets locked in this bankruptcy, and hedge funds are forced to sell positions in the U.S. and elsewhere to raise cash, exacerbating the downside here.

By the way, when hedge funds are down for the year, they work practically for free until they make up the loss. We'll see hedge funds close and stocks liquidated as -- no surprise -- hedge-fund managers like to get paid.

- Margin calls: Whenever stocks go down sharply, you quickly find who owns them with debt. We have seen spectacular margin calls, a requirement for more capital to cover share losses. Chesapeake Energy CEO Aubrey McClendon unloaded 33 million shares to cover losses. Viacom CEO Sumner Redstone had a forced sale of $400 million in Viacom and CBS shares because of a margin call on other stocks. You can bet many not-so-public margin calls are behind many huge price drops. These usually take place in the last 30 minutes of trading.

So won't January be alright once these dislocations weighing on the market are lifted? The January effect is supposed to be positive.

Well, often money managers are fired at the end of disastrous years. A new manager comes in, looks at the existing positions and dumps them all and remakes the portfolio with new stocks that he likes, thus generating more selling. My favorite Wall Street adage suggests that the stock market trades to inflict the maximum amount of pain. Remember, you can only ignore the stock market for so long. Once everyone thinks it can only go down . . . it might go up.

Mr. Kessler, a former hedge-fund manager, is the author of "How We Got Here" (Collins, 2005).

The Nostradamus Code - WW3

Assassination of the current pope
(Century VIII, Quatrain 46)

Pope Benedict XVI
During the period that the Antichrist begins to flex his power, the current pope will be assassinated when he goes on a trip away from the Vatican. The two cardinals nearest to the pope will realize the danger to their church after the death, and they will close themselves up in the Vatican to try to protect themselves.

The current Pope is desirous of world peace and is working against some established power parties within the Roman church. A point will come when the special interests inside the church who want to hold onto their power and wealth will misadvise the Pope in such a way as to place him in a dangerous situation which he is unaware of. The assassination will lead to social unrest and rioting in Rome. The next pope will not last long. There will be only two other popes after the present one.

(Century II, Quatrain 97)

The pope and several of his entourage will be assassinated in late spring when the roses bloom, at a European city that is at the junction of two major rivers.

(Century II, Quatrain 15)

The present pope will be assassinated shortly prior to the appearance of a comet that will be clearly visible from the sky of the Northern Hemisphere. His concern for the human condition, leading him to treacherous travel arrangements, wil be his downfall. The next pope will be assassinated by the Antichrist because he won't submit to his demands. The assassination allows the Antichrist to install his "tool" into the office

Crazed leader launches nuclear bombs on Mediterranean and Europe

(Century II, Quatrains 3 and 4)

During a period of continuing unrest, the leader of a Middle Eastern country will be able to obtain a nuclear weapon. He will go to the greatest lengths over the smallest things and will not hesitate to use the weapon because of his obsessions with deadly warfare. The people he is warring against retaliate with a nuclear weapon. The country has a coast on the Mediterranean.

One of the bombs will land in the Mediterranean instead of the land, poisoning all the fish. The passages of trade in the region will be disrupted so that the people on the other coast will be desperate for food and will eat the fish anyway. It will happen near the east coast of the Mediterranean in a region of dark-colored cliffs.

Looking for the real treath
Lets just think realistically. We will forget all the prophecies and pretend that Nostradamus never existed. There were no prophets in the past. We will forget all the threats from skies as well. 11. planet X called Nibiru is unknown and not even one asteroid is coming to destroy this civilization. No comets, no earthquakes, no pole shifting, tsunamis and so on. Just imagine, there is no danger. Even, if everything will be working fine, I can tell you, end of the world or at least of this "civilization" is very, very near.

Are we living in civilized world?
No, I'm not correct. The world civilization is from civilized. But people are not civilized!!! Or do you think, that developing more and more sophisticated weapons and using them against people with no or weak defense? Why don't we help in Africa, where people really need help? Is this really the sign of intelligence? Are we truly civilized? I don't think so... I believe, there is a lot of you out there having same opinion, but do you think, that things in are going to change? Each of us is a part, tiny part of this huge mechanism. This mechanism called "civilization" cannot run without us and we rely on it as well. We are so close attached to it. We couldn't survive without it. Its all based on the business and money.

Who makes profit from war?
The question is who runs it, who control this crazy world? Think about it. It could be politics, but i think there are still small fishes. Did you ever see somebody powerful without money? The more money - the more power. If we will apply this rule, we will find the "people" who ruled us all for centuries. I worked for a while with shares. I was told, there are two types of shares. One of them are gaining in time of war and another in time of peace. I was shocked. The teacher explained me totally calm: "When you will have full storage of old weapons, you have to make room for the newest models. And how to get the customers? Think about it. The scheme is always the same. And will lead to another conflict - world war 3.

The Money beast will like WW III
Before World War 2 it was still kind of fun, but the Money Beast didn't stop even after Hiroshima and Nagasaki where 240 000 people died in few seconds after Nuclear explosions. The total armament race began all over the world after this blood bath. It was called Cold War. It's just the question of time before global arsenal will be used to wipe out this "civilization" out of the earth. If countries like Iran or North Korea will hold this powerful devices, the world won't be safe place to live.

The end of the world is near says science - Doomsday clock
Doomsday Clock is a symbolic clockface maintained since 1947. It uses the analogy of the human race being at a time that is minutes to midnight where midnight represents catastrophic destruction. The analogy originally represented the threat of global nuclear war (world war 3), but has since evolved to include nuclear weapons, climate-changing technologies and new developments in the life sciences and nanotechnology that could inflict irrevocable harm.

The clock is currently set to five minutes to midnight, having been advanced by two minutes on January 17, 2007. See the jump in 1998? 5 minutes forward. I am afraid the clocks will be in 2012 on 12:00.

Diet diehards eat less to live longer

Inspired by animal experiments showing that underfeeding enhances vitality and prolongs life by 30 percent or more, the US-based Calorie Restriction Society is slashing calorie intake in a bid to beat back the clock and halt the ageing process.

Some people are doing it strictly to enhance longevity, while others do so to avoid age-related disease, or because they already have diabetes, high cholesterol or clogged arteries and want to clean up their bodies by using diet.

"Even if they were to reduce their calorie intake by half, they would still only be at baseline," the optimal balance between energy input and output according to the study.

A wealth of scientific evidence has confirmed that maintaining that balance helps prevent type-2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer.

But experiments with both animals and humans have also shown that pushing one's calorie intake 10 to 20 percent below that baseline threshold -- without lowering nutrients -- may provide additional health advantages.

Luigi Fontana, a professor in the Division of Geriatrics and Nutritional Science of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, has led or co-authored more than a dozen studies on reduced calorie intake in humans.

He is also one of a handful of researchers studying longterm impacts by monitoring a group of nearly 50 adults who have been on calorie restriction diets for at least a decade.

"Most are middle-aged, but they have the cardiovascular profile of a teenager," he said by phone.

Blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and insulin levels are all low while so-called "good" cholesterol remains high, he said. Diabetes and cancer rates are down too.

Studies published earlier this year point to other, specifically age-related, benefits as well.

One shows that cutting calorie intake 20 percent cut damage in DNA and RNA caused by oxidation in half compared to control groups.

Oxidative damage to DNA, proteins and other cellular building blocks accumulate over time and are thought to be a major driver of ageing.

A second study by Fontana, published in July in Aeging Cell, shows that a combination of calorie reduction and limiting protein intake lowers levels of insulin-like growth factor, commonly known as IFG-1.

IFG-1 is a high-risk marker for prostate, breast and colon cancer, and plays a key role in regulating cell growth linked to the ageing process.

Consuming less calories does not necessarily mean eating less food, he said. While he only takes in two meals a day, he tucks away large quantities of fruits and vegetables, along with smaller portions of lean meats and fish.

Refined, processed foods high in sugar, fat or salt -- junk food, in other words -- is off the menu.

The average calorie intake for men is about 1,800, and for women between 1,200 and 1,600, depending on height.

Tests with monkeys underway for two decades give no indication that life in primates can be extended by the 30 or 40 percent seen in rats and mice.

"Will this add 10 years to your life? Nobody knows," said Leeuwenburgh, adding that reducing calories late in life could make it difficult to maintain needed muscle mass.

"But one thing is sure -- calorie restriction will help you reach your maximum lifespan potential, which is different for all of us depending on our genetic profile," he said.

Stock market up-date for the world-wide

Starting to drop again....after Obama's win on Tuesday, really a classic bear market. Just got to buy on rumor and then sell on real fact. But since my "chiam see" said this month is no good for me...I stay out of it in a way. Still I managed to lose a couple of thousands....just chee bye lor.

Sold 20 lots of my china sky holdings on last Friday....sold in the morning then went to sleep and woke up in the evening showing a beautiful result of dropping down. Sold for 24c and end the day at 21.5c, so I thought so clever lor. Then Monday the market starts to move upwards again. By end of Mon, China Sky was up to 29C then on Tuesday...shot up to 36c. Chee bye...regret selling on Friday lor.

Didn't really follow my "chiam see"....a drunken man without legs. What was advice was that better just stay "put" in whatever thing I do until after this month lor. Shit....lor.

The market is again acting up....by dropping starting with the US market then followed by the rest. The same old cycle games....hahaha.

Obama's safety a challenge

WASHINGTON - MR BARACK Obama made history by becoming the first African-American US president-elect, but security agents now face major challenges in protecting him, experts say, as his race may make him more of a target than his predecessors.

The 47-year-old Illinois senator who swept to victory on Tuesday has been under protection of the US Secret Service since May 2007, 18 months before the election, the earliest-ever security detail for a presidential candidate.

It is an issue few people want to address directly, but as the nation's first black commander-in-chief Obama will likely face an unprecedented number of threats on his life - including one just last week when two white supremacists, Daniel Cowart, 20, and Paul Schlesselman, 18, were arrested in Tennessee for plotting to kill Mr Obama.

Yet the president-elect's skin colour has only added to concerns in the country, where there are more than 200 million legally owned firearms and about 30,000 gun deaths per year, and where four sitting presidents have been murdered and two more wounded in assassination attempts.

'It's going to be a unique and challenging environment' for Mr Obama's security detail, Mr Fred Burton, who is vice president of counter-terrorism at geo-political intelligence analysis firm Stratfor, told wires agencies.

'The protective security threat and the challenges surrounding the protection for him is extremely difficult. It's going to take a lot of resources and a tremendous amount of protective and tactical analysis to stay ahead of the bad guys,' said Mr Burton, a former Secret Service agent who is publishing a Stratfor report on Thursday on the issue.

While Mr Obama spends the next months plotting his political course and assembling an administration team, extremists - particularly from the US white hate movements - may be plotting to kill him, especially in the chaotic months before he enters the Washington security bubble.

Mr Burton believes protective intelligence agencies have infiltrated white hate groups, whose sympathisers are blamed for the assassinations of civil rights leaders Mr Martin Luther King Jr, Malcom X and Mr Medgar Evers, as a means of thwarting attempts on the lives of protectees.

Mr Evers was gunned down in 1963 by a member of the Ku Klux Klan, a white-supremacy group whose website this week carried a video clip warning against an Obama administration.

'I don't want to sound like a doomsday prophet,' Mr Thomas Robb said on the Klan's WhitePride.tv. 'But what will happen to this nation?'

'A lot of people are concerned if Mr Barack Obama becomes president of the United States. There may be a backlash, there may be many white people throughout this country who will become awakened.'

In January, concerns were such that Congressman Bennie Thompson of Mississippi wrote to officials who oversee the Secret Service to say Mr Obama's profile 'gives rise to unique challenges that merit special concern.'

'As an African-American who was witness to some of this nation's most shameful days during the civil rights movement, I know personally that the hatred of some of our fellow citizens can lead to heinous acts of violence,' Mr Thompson wrote.

Mr Obama spoke early this year with The New York Times about his life in the security cocoon, saying 'I've got the best protection in the world,' repeating a line he tells concerned supporters.

'So stop worrying.'

For Ms Alnett Wooten, an 86-year-old black woman waiting in line at a Washington polling station on Tuesday, Mr Obama's fate is in God's hands.

'I never thought I would live long enough to do it,' she said of voting for a black president.

'I just pray that He will keep him safe.' -- AFP

Thoughts that can heal you or kill you.

Good thoughts, bad thoughts. A person goes through about 66,000 thoughts a day, both negative and positive, says mind science consultant Professor Dr R.Kadeer Ibraheem.

"We go through many thoughts in a day, but whether they have a positive or negative impact is up to us." Negative thoughts of anger and hatred are so powerful that they can destroy our health, mood and happiness.

"Hatred, anger, grudges and judgment destroy friendships, business dealings, opportunities and several other aspects of our lives," says Kadeer.

Thought can also be used for good and we can do almost anything, says Kadeer, but only if we first believe in our selves.

"We must eliminate our fears, step by step. We must do everything in stages and not rush it. After we develop this ability to believe in ourselves, we will enjoy the results." The power of the mind should never be underestimated, because it's the one facet of a human being which can tease, trick, convince and destroy.

Its powers have long been used to create wealth, kick habits and lose weight .

Over the past few years, the mind has taken on a new role: It's been a key player in the body's healing process.

Silva Method Malaysia managing director Steven Soh Teck Toh is convinced that whatever goes into your mind will come to pass. Whatever you put into your mind and believe is going to happen will happen.

"This works for good and bad thoughts. So be careful with what you feed your brain. That's why it's so important to only have positive thoughts, especially when fighting a disease. Every time a negative thought gets into your mind, you should consciously tell yourself, "can - cel, cancel". Soh has seen the power of believing work in people who have had various medical issues, from warts to a low sperm count.

"An accountant and his wife were desperately trying to have a baby, but the doctor told the husband that his sperm count was low, and that it was almost impossible.

"He asked the doctor for a sperm map and looked at it every night, picturing and believing that his sperm count would increase. His sperm count did go up and, a year later, he was the proud father of a baby boy." Soh says it's also important to clean your "mind archives" every day to make room for positive thoughts.

"Any concerns or worries you have should be addressed daily. Don't keep them in. Recognise them, deal with them and get rid of them.

"Keeping them all in will clog your 'mind pipe' and prevent you from feeding yourself positive thoughts." According to Soh, the onset of cancer is usually after a traumatic encounter.

"Most cancer patients would have had traumatic experiences, six to 18 months before the onset. The first thing cancer patients should do is trace the experiences they've had in the past two years.

"When they have identified the cause, they should accept the situation.

"It could be a financial problem, or a death in the family." Unfortunately, many terminally ill patients don't want to be cured, Soh says. "They say they do, but deep in their hearts they don't mean it. Many don't have the will to live, and that attitude is enough to kill them.

"If you're dying and want to be cured, you'll break all other appointments and do what it takes to be healed. When your mind doesn't want to get better, your body releases enzymes that make that thought a reality." Soh says that the more you reject the reality of things, the more you attract it. "Cancer is not deadly if you take precautions in the beginning.

"People should understand that the mind is the first tool they should use to overcome cancer." Clinical psychologist Leong Huey Mei says: "When you adopt a positive attitude you find that everything is possible. Having positive thoughts mean giving yourself a choice.

"Too often, we hear those sick or in trouble say they have no choice.

When they say that, it becomes something that cannot be resolved.

"A positive attitude gives you energy to move on. Those who waste their energy on negative thoughts are killing that energy.

"But, if they think positive, although the situation seems impossible, they'll find a solution. It's all mind over matter." Leong says illnesses and bad situations befall anyone. "Things don't always go the way we want. But if we keep complaining and living in the 'whys', we are digging a deeper grave.

"We have to learn to adapt to the new situation and find ways to remedy the problem or we won't be healthy. Adjust to the environment.

"Deal with the issue instead of exploding.

Don't let it accumulate.

Don't dwell. Let other people help if you can't deal with it. Talk to positive people and surround yourself with positive thoughts." Being aware of your negative thoughts, she says, is a very important part of recovery.

"Each time a negative thought crosses your mind, you must challenge it. If you keep telling yourself it's useless and you can't do it, then that is what will materialise.

"Even if you think there's only a 20 per cent chance of getting through this tough time, work on it. Stop focusing on the other 80 per cent.

"That's wasted energy." First, she says, one must be able to identify the negative thoughts in order to change them.

"Recognise those thoughts and then push them out of your mind, each and every time. Replacing negative thoughts with positive ones is another way of doing it." She says some people claim that positive thinking is just a way of cheating yourself. "Maybe it is. But, if it's helping the situation and making you feel better, why not?" As the words of the poet John Milton go, "the mind is its own place, and in itself, can make heaven of hell, and a hell of heaven".

Universal Laws - Law of Karma (law of consequences)

What is Karma??

The word karma refers to one of the basic teachings of theosophy by which it is able to explain the meaning of human life and to resolve its enigmas and seeming injustices. It is a Sanskrit term expressing tersely the principle of action and reaction, or the law of consequences.

The karma is activities accumulated from past lives, there are positive, neutral and negative karma. And positive karma does not eliminate negative karma, but might delay the germination of effects of bad Karma.

Karma is those good or bad actions, which follow a human being through life and determines what kind of existence the person will end up in, in his next life. The law about karma says that all actions have consequences; bad actions have negative consequences, while god actions have positive consequences.

"Bad karma" is when your past bad deeds and actions have caused an imbalance of cosmic energy in your life, and now bad things are happening to you

To understand karma, it must first be clearly perceived that the cosmos, the universe, is a unit -- one single organism composed of an infinite number of lesser organisms in an immense variety of grades of consciousness and development, all united into a single whole by the one consciousness which includes and is common to them all. This sublime idea is well illustrated by man himself, who is a universe, a cosmos, in miniature. Is he not composed of an almost infinite number of centers of life or consciousness -- atoms, molecules, cells, organs, ganglia, etc. -- under the unifying overlordship of the human individual consciousness, which pervades and unifies and directs them all? And just as a felon on the finger is felt by the whole body, so we are taught that a thought of hatred or a throb of mental anguish has its due effect throughout the greater cosmic organism. For the law of action and reaction, of cause and effect, so evident in the limited sphere of mere physical life, is simply an evidence on the surface of what takes place in the inner spiritual and causal realms.
How to CLEAN KARMA

1. Change your ACTIONS

2. Be thankful
Karmic situations are not just negative ones. While people can often be heard complaining when something bad happens to them, it's rare to hear someone say "wow, karma!" if something great happens. The next time you're faced with what seems like good luck - say you're that rare person who never has trouble finding a parking space, try a little gratitude - it goes a long way.

3. Check your intentions
Even if someone is able to clear your karma, you will continue to have free will. Thoughts impact action and karma. The only way to undertake a karmic cleansing is with purity of intention and a real readiness to let go and move on.

4. The secret
Sometimes karma is a self-fulfilling prophecy. You know, "I'll never find my soulmate," or "I can't do that." As much as these thoughts may be motivated by something beyond your understanding (low self-esteem, habit, past life actions), with or without a karmic assessment and cleansing, a certain amount of responsibility lies with you. Only you control your thoughts. And only you control your actions

5. Clean UP

Opinions may vary when it comes to actual karma cleansing. Some spiritualists and psychics have the ability to read and clear individual karma (past life and from this plane). If you want to know what your actual karma is, this is the way to go. But first take a closer look.

BAD KARMA

....how to cleanse BAD KARMA - Study Feng Shui, Feng shui means to cleanse out your home of clutter, old junk and stuff, find out your true colours, which alleviate your moods to balance your daily schedule. Again, stay away from people who cause nothing but problems.

1.Find your religion, and practise it in good faith and go with the flow in your heart and daily schedule also..

2.Meditate, 30 minutes to 2 hours daily of your time to a quiet sitting spot and focus on what you want to do before you start your day--visualize success, or a coloured figurine/ picture, which takes your stress and negativity away, reverse it to positive goals and achievements.

3.Yoga involve physical and mental training to get rid of sin, viz. bad karma, and is recognized as ways to salvation, at least that the hindu can achieve a better existence in the next life, at best so that the person will never more be reborn where the soul is unified with the world-soul Brahman.

4.Fasting is one way to cleanse your BAD KARMA. Fasting can change your life. Liquid fasting help you to lose weight. Fasting is one of the best ways of getting closer to God. Spiritual fasting is a great method of purifying the soul, and coming closer to God.

Fasting simply is a rest from food; you will be surprised and wonder what fasting has to do with health and weight loss. Fasting is a matter of house cleaning, it increases energy and extends life. Strangely, some diets ¡X such as spiritual fasting ¡X turn out to be more beneficial to our souls than our bodies, which might be one of the reasons they are so hard to follow. Spiritual fasting re-births and regenerates our spiritual willpower by filling our inner knowing with the direct experience of new physical, emotional and spiritual strength. Spiritual fasting cleans the body-mind and feeds the spirit, allowing our physical bodies to better extract the Divine cosmic energy from our normal biochemical energy sources.

Spiritual Juice Fasting unblocks the Divine source of youth, vitality, and transformation. Spiritual fasting cleans the body-mind and feeds the spirit, allowing our physical bodies to better extract the Divine cosmic energy from our normal biochemical energy sources. Fasting has many benefits for your body and can be can be a very empowering experience. The spiritual fast has rejuvenated, inspired, and empowered my spirit, mind, and body.

Spiritual fasting is the elixir of life; regenerating a rebirth into felt joy and health.

5. Eating moderately is one of the principles accepted by most teachers and another is to avoid eating meat. Vegetarianism is one of the principles inherent in the lives and teachings of nearly all the masters.

6. By doing good deeds can actually help me to live longer, healthier lives. Making offerings with the right motivation helps us accumulate good merits, receive blessings and dissipate the effects of bad karma.

7. Practice Mindfulness - The more we observe, the more proficient we'll become. We'll understand clearly and correctly. The more clearly we see, the more effort ¡X right effort ¡X we'll put into knowing and seeing even more fully. Right mindfulness will be more continually mindful; and right concentration, more firmly established. Right speech and right activity will follow in their wake. So develop right view in your hearts by developing the frames of reference. Keep track of the body in and of itself, train in line with the truth, by day and by night, whether you're sitting, standing, walking, or lying down.

- Be mindful to keep your heart in good shape.
- Focus on the in-and-out breath
- To look after the mind, to meditate well.
- Creating a Favorable Environment
- Sit quietly in a comfortable position and begin to breathe quietly.
- Pay attention without trying to change anything "YOU ARE YOUR OWN KARMA"

Sow an act, and you will reap a habit. Sow a habit, and you will reap a destiny, because habits build character. This is the sequence: an act, a habit, a character, and a destiny. You are the creator of yourself. What you make yourself to be now, you will be in the future. What you are now, is precisely what you have made yourself to be in the past.

What you sow, you shall reap. -- G. de Purucker, Golden Precepts of Esotericism, p. 104

Recession is coming !!! Sorry....it is already here!

Recession has already came ... make your own judgment, don't panic !! Do what is wise and grid your teeth to ride this out. Remember you are not alone becoz all around us...the very people near and far shall also faced this pain. So at the end
of the day...it is to see who suffer less or whether who can come out of this stronger and ready to take your family to the next level.

The recession is not just looking very eminent but have already on "us". It is about time for us to take pro active steps to avoid a painful time in the next two years which is how long the recession is expected to last.

Suggestions:

1. Don't take any loans, buy homes, properties with loans, or even cash. Keep as much cash as possible.

2. Pay off as much of personal loans, private loans, as debt collection will be hastened.

3. Sell any stocks you can even at lower prices.

4. Take money off from any Trust and investment Funds.

5. Don't believe in huge sales forecast from customers, be extremely prudent, lowest inventories, reduce liabilities.

6. Don't invest in new capital.

7. If you are selling homes/ properties/ cars , do it now since you might still get good prices for it esp if HDB, they are going to fall and when it does.....it will drop so fast until you faint ( just like the recent stock market meltdown ). If need to rent...then do it as even the rent will drop as reported in today's ST.

8. Don't invest in new business proposals.

9. Cancel holiday plans using credit cards and to do so if have some spare cash for it.

10. Don't simply change jobs, as companies will retrench based on "last in, first out" policy which is common since they don't have to pay much benefits to those affected.

Stay cool, wait, and if you took all of the above actions and more, you probably will be better off than so many others and will recover faster than most.

This is not a rumor. Bear Sterns is the first of many banking and financial institutions that will start falling in the not too future. If Bear Sterns can fall, so can JP Morgan, Citibank, HSBC, and the whole world. ( remember Lehman Bros and the nearly collapsed AIG? they are the early birds which started the recent meltdown for stocks all over the world )

US economy falls, the rest will crumble. India and all those self economies will be the most protected, but not gullible. Europe may be a little stronger, but not China , another giant! Malaysia and Singapore will see significant impact as both countries depend alot on what is happening in US.

HER CHEATIN' HEART - copied fr Asiaone

MENTION the word 'adultery' and chances are, the men always come to mind. But no more as it seems that more women are cheating on their spouses - nearly as many as men, reported the International Herald Tribune.

Researchers from the University of Washington found that infidelity is on the rise, and notably, women are closing the adultery gap.

Younger women are also cheating on their spouses nearly as often as men. Guessed this is the so-called sexual equality in this modern time.

Often, these women know the third party through work. Those who are not working usually form such relationships online, she said.

The reasons for cheating include women being neglected by their husbands and changing perception about divorces.

Said Ms de Souza: 'Women these days are also more vocal, more empowered and perhaps more bold.

'Relationships don't spring from nothing. These women know what they want. And if they can't get it from their husbands, they'll find someone else.' How true lor!

So.....hooray for women's right hahaha. POWER!!!

Singapore Power explains increase of tariffs in Q4

SINGAPORE: The uproar began slightly over a month ago when SP Services announced that electricity tariffs would increase 21.5 per cent in the last quarter of this year.

Consumers, already burdened by record inflation, saw red and pointed to profits of S$1.086 billion that SP’s parent company, Singapore Power, made last year.

How would the poor cope, and why couldn’t Singapore Power use some of its profits to absorb the cost, many asked in newspaper and Internet forums.

But the company remained largely silent, leaving market regulator, the Energy Market Authority (EMA), to respond to news coverage and readers’ letters.

On Friday, Singapore Power broke the silence and launched a spirited defence against public anger.

"We have nothing to hide," said group chief executive officer Mr Quek Poh Huat in a media briefing helmed by top management.

The key message was this: Blaming SP Services for high tariffs is akin to shooting the messenger.

"If I’m the lorry driver (delivering) goods to your house, and you ask me how come the (price for) a bag of rice has doubled, I can’t explain to you," said chief financial officer Yap Chee Keong.

SP Services does not generate electricity; it transports power from the generation companies (gencos) to end—users, selling to households without any price mark—up.

The transmission charge, together with the fee for billing and reading of meters, makes up 17 per cent of the tariff.

Wah.....very POWER!!! in the end, all these above don't made any sense. SHIT. Just being a messenger ( lorry driver delivering goods ) can also made $1.086 billion a year then I guess we all must be idiots working the wrong line or are they ( the messenger cum lorry drivers ) trying to blow more smoke at us?

Wed night

Not everything is well....esp 4D and toto hahaha. Kapoo....gone....kena makan!! So much for luck lor.

Oh btw I went to pray pray at Waterloo since this morning is already 1st day of 10 mth for lunar calendar. So fast...too. And I go ask for "chiam-see" from Goddess of Mercy Kwang Imm. Got #59 and it said that I was like a drunken man without legs and still not able to realise that I was drunk. Also about me trying to hide in tall building. By this....what the Goddess is advising is that I must just stay put and do nothing until better time so my luck is not good. If I want to "cheong" then I
will lose all....so with this, I shall calm down on my 4D and share dealing.

True...I was so itching to cheong DBS shares yesterday noon time when it was trading near to $9.10 and when I noticed that HK market was pretty steady and moving higher I too was thinking of getting 5 lots of DBS. By the time I got my cousin, his son took my call...but he was not able to remember my trading account no....and after 10 min, DBS shot up from $9.10 to $9.44, so I didn't buy any lor. At 2.30pm, DBS dropped to $9.26 to 9.28 and I was "heng ah". I went to have a nap...at 5:30pm, went
to check and saw it closed at $10.20. MOTHER. This morning it shot up to $11.25......
super shit!!! or I would have made at least 7K. So....the "chaim-see" was true lor. No luck....I kena my cousin's son instead of my cousin. He would have settled the deal straight away...and I would be smiling today.

Anyway...things do happened for a reason, be it good or bad.

SGX meltdown again

Shit....another major meltdown again and another 3K of paper loss, lucky that what I have made in 4D goes to cover my loss in share market. Still not enough to cover 100% anyway....managed to pare down the paper loss mah.

From the way of markets around the world...reacts to the drop is just crazy. Anyhow throw....guess this is due to the funds selling or margin calls. No choice but to sell at whatever price.

To me....with a couple of more drops of this range, the market must be going to the dogs. No where to go but "up"....soon and the rally will be sharp too. I am on stand-by for this....hopefully but my bullets are limited after my earlier buys.

Hope of more bullets....with 4D on Sat and Sun. hehehe

Thursday

Back to work...on Thursday and was kept very busy the whole night. No much free time for do other thing beside fighting "fire".

Give the lead girls a treat. Hope also hope that the luck can hold up for this coming weekend......Sat & Sun. As for the stock market....still not the time to buy any. In fact....I tried selling some Tuesday but missed out selling, and the fact is that it has....also gone down farther too. For these 2 days...suffer another 2K of paper lost for this lot.

Sunday - 4D

Hahaha....managed to kena the 1st prize on Sunday but missed out on the big one lor. Let me explain what I meant by this. SHIT....bought on Sat $4/$4 for 3948 plus $4/$12 for 7132 but on Sun....only bought $4 for 3948.

Short kena by 26K.....only kena 8K and after clearing the cost and everything, left with 5K.

And again on Wed....missed kena 2nd prize for the 2nd prize for 36K ( $16/$10 ). Anyway...guessed I am only good for small amount at this present moment. My luck is still so-so, not "hot" enough yet for the biggie.

Yes...I really believed in such thing. Certain "set" amount for certain type of people and if buy more than that....gone! gotto wait for another period for the luck to come. Cheers!!

Saturday, October 18, 2008

The funny thing is that I am finding it hard to focus....esp got so many young sexy dressed women around. SHITs....hehehe.

US stock market

Yes....it behaves like a yo-yo, 1 minute "up" then the next minute "down" thru-out the day. Same thing here and elsewhere too. Totally extreme swings and if the timing is right then it will be a nice winning for the brave hearted soul...same for the unlucky one too.

Last week....the MRT tracks have claimed 2 lives. With what was happening around...guessed it can be more deaths too.

Take today.....the US market was "upped" from the moment the ring rang at the start, and "upped" by more than 150 points. Then after 1 hr....the market started to slip and it was fast too. By the next 1.5hr, it was "down" by 400+ points and then it started to turn round again.
Now as I am writing this...the market is at a cross-road again with a small increase.

Won't be surprised to see another "down" day when I wake-up in the morning. Last night before I went off to sleep...the market was "off" by 300+ points with 1 hr to go....then when I woke up to check it was "down" by 733 points.

Now with the lastest wild swings at the stock markets around the world....it is small wonder people are killing themselves at a faster rate. Not only that....the mental hospitals are also filling up faster too. Violence at home and at workplace are also....common.

Good to hear and see that....my honey is looking forward to go home and take care of her family. Guessed that is about the last good thing that is happening. Cheers lor.

Stock market meltdown

Guessed...here it goes again lor. Hahaha.....now, more or less no more feeling of "fear". Don't even want to look at it becoz it is too late to run.

US market dropped 700+ points last night....here, start with a 120+ points drop when I "ON"
the tv after sending my kid to school. Btw I watched the debate between McCain & Obama. From it....look like they won't be able to solve today's problem too.

Good luck to us all...may God bless us.

Teacher and student - sexual relationship

In today's ST there is another teacher in court for having sex with 15 yo boy. From the look of things...this type of situation is more often then reported or caught. Lately....it was reported in the New Papers of another pregnant teacher who is in her thirties visiting the passing-out parade for her new husband a 18yo boy and proudly say so. The beauty is some of the boy's superiors are also her past students too.

So...this seem to be getting too often and why????? My guess is becoz of "close relationship" between teachers and students until the line is gone! Same goes to male teachers and female students....believe that situation is even more often than female teachers and male students given that our girls are getting more agressive sexually. One thing stand-out....they are able to keep things "quiet". While the female teacher / male student situation will likely to be exposed sooner or later becoz most people still don't accept the idea yet.

To the students....well, a teacher is a roll-model someone to look up to and have money to spend.
For some teachers who dress in sexy cloths in school...then will become "targets" for some of the students to try their luck to score...same for the other way round too. For some "hunky male" teachers...then some notti female students will do their best to seduce him too.

While for the teachers....esp those having problems with their husbands/bfs may then put their guard down and cross the line....esp if the male student got the chance to be in one-on-one situation. Now...this type of situation is easy available eg remedial class, camping, sport & school activities. Look around....the present lot of students really look "grown" for male and female ones. So...they may look "fun" to be with for sex or other activities.

My advice....best to draw a line from the people we are supposed to in-charge of. Passed the line....then will pay the price lor.

Conclusion - maybe the female students kept secret better than the boys hehehe. Well...boy will be boy, he will have to boost of his "teacher score" to everyone who care to know lor.

Worst 'Healthy' Drinks - And What You Should Drink Instead - fr yahoo.

Staying hydrated can be great for your body. Drink enough of the right liquids and your mood will improve, your focus will sharpen, your heart will beat stronger, and you'll be less likely to suffer from headaches and fatigue. All that, plus if you pick the right potions, you'll receive beneficial nutrients, antioxidants and protein as a chaser.

Bottoms up, right? Not so fast. Some bottles are better than others, as you're about to learn. Too many Americans are problem drinkers — and I'm not talking about bourbon for breakfast. As a nation, we love high-sugar, high-calorie drinks like sodas and smoothies; a whopping 21 percent of American's calorie intake comes from drinks, and that's an increase of 150 calories since 1977.

The big-bottom line: Half of that caloric payload comes from sweetened beverages such as soft drinks, fruit punch, and other sweet drinks. The sad part is: Nobody actually needs any of those calories. Water — by the glass and in the foods you eat — should be plenty to top your tank. But if you find it kind of bland, we hear you. That's why we're slapping warning labels on the big-calorie guzzlers, and pointing you toward the thirst-quenchers that won't make you fat.

Cheers.

Iced Coffee
Drink This
Dunkin' Donuts Caramel Crème Iced Latte (16 oz)
260 calories
9 g fat
40 g sugars

Not ThatStarbucks 2% Iced Dulce de Leche Latte (16 oz)
420 calories
16 g fat
52 g sugars

In the hierarchy of espresso drinks, lattes sit squarely at the bottom. That's because they're more milk than java, and are susceptible to huge pumps of sugar syrup from eager-to-please baristas. A macchiato gives the same caffeine kick for a tiny fraction of the caloric cost by swapping out the excess steamed milk for a crown of frothed milk. It's a simple but meaningful switch for caffeine junkies looking for a healthier fix. For other easy foods swaps for effortless weight loss — without ever having to diet again — try these fabulous fifteen.

Protein Shakes
Drink This
Slim Fast High Protein Extra Creamy Strawberry (11.5 oz can)
190 calories
5g fat
13 g sugars

Not That!
Boost Plus High Protein Strawberry (8 oz bottle)
240 calories
6 g fat
16 g sugars

Besides having fewer calories and sugar than the smaller Boost shake, the Slim Fast drink also has more protein and five extra grams of fiber, which means it will work harder at keeping your belly full in the hours after you sip it.

Yogurt Smoothie
Drink This
Dannon Light & Fit Strawberry Banana Smoothie
70 calories
12 g sugars

Not That!
Stonyfield Farm Organic Wild Berry Smoothie
150 calories
25 g sugars

The Stonyfield smoothie is smaller but more than doubles up on the calories and sugar in the Dannon Light. Don't be fooled by the "organic" name — this yogurt smoothie is thick with added sugars, which spikes your blood sugar and tells your body to start storing fat — not the best way to start your day.
The Dannon Light shake jumpstarts your morning metabolism with a nice protein kick, but spares you the sickly Stonyfield sweetness. Watch out wherever, whenever for added sugars by avoiding this great list of the most sugar-packed foods in America!

Functional Beverage
Drink This
Dasani Plus Orange Tangerine Vitamin Enhanced Water (20-oz bottle)
0 calories
0 g sugars

Not That!
Snapple Agave Melon Antioxidant Water (20-oz bottle)
140 calories
33 g sugars

If you were fooled by the words “agave” and “antioxidant,” don't be embarrassed — for a product that's supposedly water, it's totally shocking how many calories and grams of sugar are packed into this fraudulent “health” beverage. But that doesn't mean you should run the other way when you see an enhanced water; in fact, adding a little flavor (such as the orange tangerine in the Dasani water) can make staying hydrated easier and more pleasant — without adding calories or sugar.

Bottled Beverage
Drink This
Sobe Lean Blackberry Currant (20-oz bottle)
15 calories
2 g sugars

Not That!
Sobe Lizard Lava (20-oz bottle)
310 calories
77 g sugars

To glance at these two mysterious containers, you might think they contained exactly the same liquid — they're both pink, they both come in a chunky glass bottle, they've both got some kind of creature on the label — but once you take a closer look at the nutrition facts, an entirely different story becomes clear. The Lizard Lava bottle contains about half a meal's worth of calories and as much sugar as 11 popsicles.

That doesn't exactly spell refreshment, does it? Instead try the other pink bottle, with Sobe's Lean Blackberry Currant. With only 15 calories and 2 grams of sugar in a bottle, it just goes to show you that you can't judge a drink by its bottle. In fact, make sure you're always on the lookout for things like these sneaky "health" foods that aren't! You'll be shocked.

Energy Drink
Drink This
Monster Lo-Ball Java Monster Coffee + Energy (16-oz can)
100 calories
8 g sugars

Not That!
Rockstar Original (16-oz can)
280 calories
62 g sugars

I'll put it all out on the table here: I'm not a big fan of energy drinks. It's much healthier to boost energy by exercising, eating healthy foods, and getting enough sleep. But let's face it — sometimes you're desperate for a pick-me-up, and it's easy to reach for one of those shiny cans of liquid fuel.

However, if you guzzle down a can of Rockstar Original, I'm pretty sure you're just going to end up with a jittery buzz instead of the boost you're seeking — with 62 grams of sugars, you're looking at a major sugar crash not too far down the road. Better to stick with a low-sugar, low-calorie option like Java Monster Coffee + Energy.

Juice Imposter
Drink This
Fuze Slenderize Strawberry Melon (18.5-oz bottle)
23 calories
4.5 g sugars

Not That!
Arizona Kiwi Strawberry (23.5-oz can)
360 calories
84 g sugars

Unfortunately, most of the drinks that come in flashy containers and purport themselves to be juice quite simply aren't. That goes for both our “Drink This” and our “Not That” option here — even the healthier Fuze drink is only about 5 percent juice. That said, it's also a low-carb, low-sugar drink that provides nutrients, antioxidants, and vitamins, so it's not all bad — unlike Arizona's “juice.”
Bottom line: These days, if you want juice, you probably need to squeeze it yourself.

Kids' Juice
Drink This
Minute Maid Kids Multi-Vitamin Orange Juice
120 calories
24 g sugars

Not That!
Welch's Grape Juice
170 calories
40 g sugars

Kids love grape juice for one reason: It's loaded with sugar. That also means it's loaded with calories. Grape just ain't so great. On the other extreme, Minute Maid's enhanced orange juice is mother nature's multi-vitamin, providing your kids with monster doses of calcium and vitamin D for bone growth and protection, plus a host of powerful antioxidants.

Kids' Drink
Drink This
Capri Sun Tropical Fruit Roarin' Waters (6.8-oz pouch)
35 calories
9 g sugars

Not That!
Sunny D with Calcium (8-oz serving)
140 calories
31 g sugars

If you believe the commercials, stocking your fridge with Sunny D will make you the coolest mom (or dad) in the neighborhood, and your kids will be smiling and thanking you, and you'll be wearing a cashmere sweater, and your whole house will be bathed in soft, buttery sunlight.

Right. Well, believe it or not, if you're interested in giving your kids a fun drink that's actually reasonably healthy, hand them one of those silver Capri Sun pouches — OK, so they're not exactly a health drink, but they're better than Sunny D — cashmere or no cashmere.

The Worst 'Healthy' Foods - fr yahoo

If you want to lose weight, it may seem like a good idea to trade candy bars for granola bars or to swap bacon and eggs at breakfast for the classic bagel (it’s shaped like a zero; how bad could it be?).

Sadly, it’s just not that simple. Customers’ nutrition knowledge is rising, so food marketers are desperate to attract the right kind of attention from the eating public. So they’re twisting nutritional buzzwords to trick us into eating the kinds of foods that can actually help make us fat.

We need to be more careful than ever to make sure we’re feeding ourselves and our families the very best real health foods — not sugar-infused calorie bombs disguised as weight-loss foods.Read up for our latest batch of dietary phonies. They may look good on the front label, but they’ll get you in the end if you're not careful.

Granola Bar
200 calories
15 g sugars

Eat this instead!
1 oz cheddar cheese with Triscuits
150 calories
5 g sugars

Ever wonder what keeps a granola bar together? The answer: high-fructose corn syrup, which quickly raises blood sugar and cancels out most of the potential benefits the granola almonds and oats might give you. Switch over to good old-fashioned cheese and crackers, and you trade sugar and calories for protein and fiber. It's a big deal that will make you smaller, as will steering clear of the sugar bombs. By the way, these are the most sugar-packed foods in America.

Yogurt with Fruit on the Bottom
190 calories
30 g sugars

Eat this instead!
Plain yogurt with fresh fruit mixed in
110 calories
15 g sugars

Pass on these over-sweetened yogurt cups; they contain as much sugar as a soft drink. Almost all of that comes directly from the “fruit,” which is swimming in high-fructose corn syrup. Yogurt and fruit can be a great way to start your day, but do it yourself by mixing a cup of nonfat plain yogurt with a half cup of mixed berries.

Bagel with Cream Cheese
700 calories
40 g fat
13 g saturated

Eat this instead!
Cheese omelet
425 calories
18 g fat
6 g saturated

Bagels are bogus. The bread is bad enough, containing 300 calories and 60 grams of carbohydrates, but tack on the liberal cream cheese schmear (by our survey of popular breakfast chains, up to 4 ounces for a single bagel!) and your "harmless" breakfast sandwich weighs in as worse than a Whopper. The omelet swap will save you nearly 300 calories, plus provide a surge of metabolism-boosting protein. And a recent study from the University of Connecticut found that eating eggs can help raise HDL (good) cholesterol.

And while you're being vigilant, watch out for the 20 Unhealthiest Drinks in America!

Dried Fruit
175 calories
45 g sugars

Eat this instead!
Fresh fruit, like an apple or a peach
70 calories
15 g sugars

OK, so dried fruit won’t totally derail a day of good eating (unless you down the whole bag of banana chips), but it's far from being a harmless snack. First, because the dehydrating process sucks most of the volume from the fruit, you can eat cups of the stuff, and 600 calories later, still not feel any fuller.
More troubling, though, is the fact that Sun-Maid and Ocean Spray add sugar to the fruit, making Craisins closer to candy than Mother Nature’s original intention. The choice is clear: Stick to the original, straight from the tree.

Fish Sandwich
600 calories
30 g fat
11 g saturated

Eat this instead!
Grilled chicken sandwich
300 calories
13 g fat
4 g saturated

Fish is good for you, except when it’s battered, fried, robed in cheese, and bathed in tartar sauce. The lesson? Even the biggest star can be sabotaged by the supporting cast.
To this end, avoid any menu item with the word "crispy," the restaurant industry’s favorite euphemism for “fried.” Make sure your next fish or chicken sandwich is grilled, dressed with fresh produce, and topped with a low-cal barbecue sauce, or even ketchup and mustard. And watch the salt; these 20 foods are the saltiest in America!

Stick margarine (1 Tbsp)
100 calories
11 g fat
2.5 g saturated
2.5 g trans fat

Eat this instead!
Whipped butter (1 Tbsp)
50 calories
6 g fat
1.5 g saturated

In their haste to remove saturated fat from butter, margarine makers created the margarine monster — a dangerous lipid called trans fat, with more dangerous links to heart disease than saturated fat. Pick up whipped butter instead; by whipping air into the spread, manufacturers decrease the caloric density of a tablespoon of butter, and they make it easier to top your toast. If you buy margarine, make sure it's the type found in the tub, hopefully with an added bonus like omega-3s folded into the mix.

4D

Well...no luck and that is not surprising hahaha. Came to work and got one idiot GH started shouting HUAT AH until I got mad and go confronted him. Asked him why....and since he cannot answer, told him to "shut up".

Sometimes....just gotto be serious with some people, they think they can do anything they want and no one dare to confront them. How wrong....esp if I am really "pissed off" then they better disappear or run.

Suddenly got this "hopeless feeling" since morning....no idea what on earth is happening esp to the stock market and the actual impact to my investment. Toughly....I know that my investment had fallen by 40% for my ILP policies and 50% for all my shares that I am still holding on to. Yes!.....it is a lousy feeling esp not knowing what is the best course of action to take. Yes....already too late to sell-out. But to hold on....and suffer the chinese water torture is also sickening. So long-drawn thing. Thus ...having this sickening feeling lor.

4D...all look so-alien to me, in fact for the past 2 draws.....most numbers open also look "alien".

Guessed...I am not having any peaceful thot in myself thus no luck lor.

At the end of the day.....US Dow ends the day lower!

Yes....started with a bang in the morning after falling another 1000 points then in the first hr it recovered so until some of the counters are showing a surplus.

In the end the market is managed to show a modest drop of about 120 points. Points taken to mean that some people just meant to enjoy the risks and place bet to focus on making some money now. Bottom fishing....is it a wise or a good choice? Time will tell....

The prediction of Nostradamus - coming true?

With all the meltdowns happening lately around the world....could this be a start to Nostradamus's prediction that after 2012, the world has to continue to write it's own
outcome be it GOOD or BAD.

Guess...it's time to be prepared for his prediction and enjoy while we can since we have
another 3+yrs to do so. Then...what come may we too have to live with it. For us........
the middle income type should not really feel sad if this doomday is to happen, nothing
really much to lose. Only for the RICH...they will really feel the "pinch" lor.

HUAT AH!!!! that is what I can say at this moment hehehe.

Fucking Dow open of Friday with another 700+ points loss!

Yes...fell by 12% to below 8000 points. MAN! this is the mother of all meltdowns esp coming after falling for the past 10 straight days again. Time to change my karma....but since this impact is felt by almost all people then there is nothing I can do to change anything lor.

This drop again....could this be the answer? The final act? The bottom? The PIT?

Well....only God knows but he is not telling lei. So selfish of him? Show us a sign mah?

Friday market up-date and what a crazy week?

The whole world's stock market really suffered a total meltdown...and no single market is spared from this. Daily....dropping by 3 to 10% for some markets for 7 days straight eg the US market.
And that in turn....caused other markets to meltdown with even higher % age. Thus more pain and suffering.

Well....suffered loss left and right until I don't know what real and what bluff. Believed there are lot more people out there feeling the same as me now.

For myself....I think my losses are still manageable, meaning I can afford to lose it until having to jump in front of the MRT yet. Just feel....hiaz that the money can be used for holiday and other things lor.

The sad part....is that there will be more PRC/Viet/Thai/ Indian/ Filipino/ local FLs coming onto the streets and hard times for most of the people including myself lor. Will start to tighten up the belt on spending....by eating at home more often.

Market Insider: Praying For Capitulation

It may be that this is part of the final blow out, the last exhausting painful blast of selling where the stock market finally bangs down on what we later point to as the bottom.

That's what traders are saying (and praying).

It's hard to trust that because we've heard it before in this beastly bear market. This time though it really does feel different. Even the old guys (and gals) are saying this is the worst thing they've ever seen. The pros are fearful, and global markets have joined together in an ugly downward spiral.

It feels cathartically terrible, and that's a good sign. It may actually mean the market is getting close to capitulation. Think of capitulation as the clichéd "darkest before the dawn." It's the event traders have been looking for, but that doesn't mean this is the end of it.

When the markets capitulate, you will feel like never investing another dime (maybe you feel that now). But to traders, that's the moment when they believe it will be safe to start thinking about buying again. The only logic driving the market now is a frightened, forced selling that makes valuations meaningless. But what kind of stock market we will have after this cathartic wipeout is unclear.

The markets also have to overcome the hurdle of frozen credit markets, and banks have to start showing confidence that the boatloads of money central bankers are throwing at them will fix the banking system. The G-7 meets in Washington Friday, and investors are watching the Fed, Treasury and the G-7 finance ministers for any new act aimed at unlocking markets.

The Dow declined 7.3 percent to 8579 Thursday, giving it a 21 percent decline in the past seven sessions. The market is now down 40 percent, year-to-date coincidentally, from its all-time high. The S&P dropped 75, or 7.6 percent at 909. Leading the decline were financial stocks, off 11.7 percent, and energy stocks, down 11.4 percent.

On Friday, traders expected a messy open for Friday as they went home Thursday night. Asian markets were cascading to multi-year lows with Japan dipping at one point to a double-digit loss. Some expect a morning washout and then the possibility of a turn later in the day, but that's just one scenario and it doesn't mean there won't be more selling next week.

Jim Paulsen of Wells Capital Management said he believes Thursday's action signaled the beginning of the move toward the bottom, but one thing the markets need is confidence. The government, he says, has probably done enough to fix the credit crunch.

"The first day that this stock market falls and then recovers without any government intervention that will be the beginning and end of the crisis. We've to got to let this thing burn itself out on its own and then confidence will build. I think the only think they haven't done is work on the central issue-- we don't have fundamental issues. We need to have confidence. They need to look confident," he said.

Searching For a Market Bottom? Keep Looking?

For those hoping that the seven-day blowout on Wall Street may have created a market bottom, there are two words to contemplate: Not yet.

Over the past week the stock market has posted its biggest drop ever, tumbling more than 20 percent and triggering angst and despair among both investors and traders on the floor.

But most analysts watching the situation think market activity, by sheer volume if nothing else, is inadequate to declare that the worst has passed, though there are definite signs that it is coming.

"You really just want people to say, 'I can't take it anymore,' and I think we're getting to that position," said Quincy Krosby, chief investment strategist at The Hartford. "Selling begets selling, that's what happens, until it kind of washes out, until the last seller comes in and says, 'That's it.' Then there's kind of an eerie quiet."

But while hedge funds and industrial investors have been bailout out of positions, individual retail investors have still not reached the severe panic point.

"We're seeing volatility right now that's really starting to freak out the investor for sure," Ben Lichtenstein, president of Traders Audio, said on CNBC. "Once the investor, the normal, everyday-type investor starts to see his original investment start to decrease, that's where the fear-type selling could kick in."

Krosby said that despite Thursday's washout, in which stocks across the board lost about 7 percent of their value, volume was too thin. Total market volume was about 1.8 billion shares, and she would expect a number closer to 2.5 billion to 3 billion to see a true capitulation.

"You'd like to see more selling," Krosby said. "That's something that you look for, really, really having selling and you didn't have that yesterday and you didn't have that in many of the really strong down days."

Fear and Greed in Rallies and Bull Traps - when will we hit bottom?

These are unprecedented times. The markets are showing their true animal nature because they are trading on emotions, rather than on technicals or fundamentals.

Even the most seasoned market veterans are scratching their heads. Where is the rally? What are people waiting for? What about the “dirt cheap” valuations on a number of stocks? What about the extreme sentiment of doom and gloom? Bullish sentiment is now the lowest since the summer of 1994, so where is the contrarian sentiment reaction? What about the “big boys” stepping up to the plate to buy here? What about the new and unprecedented global rate cuts? What about the old adage about buying at Yom Kippur and selling at Rosh Hashanah? Where? What? Why?

Will these be catalysts for a massive rally? We shall see, and I will believe it when I see it. One thing I do know is that, when this rally comes, it will be powerful because the rubber band to the downside is pulled so tightly that it has to snap soon. Also, it will give people hope that the worst is over, and they will begin to pile into the markets again once their post-traumatic stress disorder (from selling at the bottom) is resolved. By the time this happens, it will be near the end of the up move and it will look so good and tempting that they will then be clamoring to get in.

This is how bear markets work. The tables are turned. The bear sets traps for us instead of the other way around. The bear sets bull traps to catch greedy bulls. Behavioral finance tells us that the majority of traders will be greedy when they should be fearful and vice versa.

We have not seen a true gap down and reversal, indicating that the last of the sellers could no longer take the pain, cried “uncle” and wanted out at any price. This is what people want to see, and they are not getting it. It may not come, but it does appear that there is enough fear to ignite a spark for the next rally. Now is the time to prepare for this and we don’t have to be right there when it happens. We will give up the first 10% and the last 10% of the coming rally to get the middle 80%. Why? Because we don’t like to be stabbed by trying to repeatedly catch falling knives and go through the psychological torment of getting in, getting stopped out, getting in again and getting stopped out, etc. It is too taxing and draws down on both financial and psychological capital.

The rally will come out of the blue when people are just so worn down and sold out that they stand in awe, disgust and regret when they see it. We are overdue in price, and just about right in time for it to happen. Like a watched pot that never seems to boil until you walk away, the rally will catch most people by surprise. In terms of Elliott wave (for all the wavers out there), this will likely be a “B” wave rally that could take the S&P up to 1290 over the next few months. No one really knows for sure when, but we will know it when we see it and we will do one of four things—depending on our position in the markets when it happens. (1) trade with longer time frames, especially if we can catch a trending market ;(2) use this rally to sell all underperforming assets (3) hope that we are lucky enough to catch the middle of this move (4) continually remind ourselves to be in touch with our feelings of greed and fear so that we have courage to get in when it feels a little uncomfortable, and start taking money off the table when it looks and feels safe and comfortable..

Yes...Dow has fallen again by 678.9 points.

At the close Dow at 8500+ points....and this is the beginning of the end or should we say the end of the beginning. Huge impart....and no one is ready to undercut the sentiments.

After a bright start, the index has gone "UP" for the stocks I order, but then towards the end of that, the index turn southa and the index dropped like a ton of weight, casing result being lately.

Cry...also no use now! The trouble with me is that I have the money to buy up the "red ships" lor.

Stock market up-date - the day when the bottom flied off for the Dow.

The main markets around the world are still on the falling mode and whoever buy now is like trying to catch a falling sword with their hands. By the close for US Dow, it has dropped by another record 678.9 points to 8500 points and this is the lowest level in 5 yrs. Whatever the Fed does....it only make the whole situation worse. If this continue....all the people will be out of job soon becoz most businesses will fold-up. The government will not be able to save every company and hence jobs. The worst is still ahead of us....by the look of things. My thinking is that until the election in the US between McCain and Obama is over...whatever Bush does, the situation will bounce back worst.

So ...best to watch and see. To me....the bottom is not far away now. No point...rushing until the main markets eg US, UK, Japan, China and EU has stabilised and started to move upwards. Now it is still not the time...as markets are still not stable. The "yo-yo" impact is still wide and painful if bet wrongly.

With all the bailouts from even the UK and EU governments doing their best to stop the "rot", the rot still set in and eat away the price and valve of the shares. Just one way ticket..."south".
Already the market has lossed more than US$2 trillion and more just in US alone...the markets elsewhere must really be "hurted" too. The impact...is totally unexpected by the world leaders.
Funny is that...this happen between 1 yr. Last year this time...the market touched the biggest capitalisation in history....while now, we are in the pits up to the skin of our teeth caused by the falling price of stock. Even a cut in interest rate by the top G7 countries and China have not help much to stop the meltdown. And the worst of all....this is the situation is getting critical by the day.
