Saturday night.....life after the tsunami

Life moves on! after looking back at the events that happened on 26th Dec 2004, things will never be the same for lots of people. It too change my way of thinking about living, my believe in God and the small little things I took for grant all along. Yes! it does impact me like nothing else
does.
First....living, yes! I realised that my life or my time on this earth is liken to a burning candle. So I will try my best at all times to live my life to the fullest and also trying my best to make a different to my family, relatives and friends. Of course family included my love ones....my family and those I have love before and the one I now love....my honey.

My believe in God, true these sad situations happened times and times again but I still have trust in God. Things happened for a reason.....the reason is to test our faith in God. One thing I can understand is that there are always the forces of good and evil in this world. And the situations always change between good and evil....but I can only pray and hope that at the end of it all, there are more good than there are evil. Humanity will suffer if the forces of evil win over the forces of good.....so let's pray together for the forces of good!!!!

Things that I took for granted.....my job, well I should be thankful for it for at least it gives me my pride that I am a productive member in society. At the same time, help me feed myself and my family. Food.....I will be less wasteful especially looking at the way the tsunami victims fight over bottles of water, bag of rice or packet of maggi mee. Let's finish our food and waste not.

Going back to work

Yeah....after 4 days rest, it's about time to start work again. These 4 days are spent at home mostly resting or attending to kid's school orientation and sending her to school in the morning. Other time the occasional trips to Punggol Plaza to place some football bets. And cooking and running errands...more for the home front this week.
And the worst for the week was to attend to client's claim for some losts for the student assist travel insurance....Man! totally unreasonable maybe because of being a relative I bite my tongue to bear with the behaviour. Wa...lau, can vomit blood talking to him and after coming out from the house...got a bad headache and got to stop the car immediately to take a couple of extra strength panadols.
The best is the time spent with my honey....blacken my bro. hehehe and it was heaven. Life should have more of that.

Monday...1st day of school

Wow....the first day of school where the buses are packed and the roads are filled with cars and this morning the roads are wet but still everyone is rushing about. Man!
School starts and as a parent also has to wake up early to get everything ready for my kid to prepare her to go to school. Peace and freedom till the next holiday.
I can go do my things after she went to school.

A week of the tsunami.

One week to the day the tsunami hit the region around and caused untold suffering...and it is heartwarming to see and hear that the world is responding to help with the situation. Whatever amount of money rised between a week is a huge sum plus the fact so many people go all out to help, which normal is hard to get people to do anything.
Myself included....have help with the transport and donation part.
Beside all these....got to continue with our life. Hope this year is better too for me and my honey. Especially a "kim gu" has visited her on her head on New Year day itself.
