My 2 cents worth....hahaha

Well....lately there were a few incidents that caught my eyes and also make me think.

1st....the guy who jumped in front of the moving MRT at Chinese Garden station. And with the chinese newspapers plus the the New papers writing stories about the family and about their money problem, people sit up and take notice. Yes! a pretty touching story about how poor people can be esp just before he killed himself, he got his son to go buy 3 packets of chicken rice. After that...he was killed by the MRT. True....there are still lots of poor people out there but most don't know where to ask or seek help....or worst too much pride to do that.
At the end of it....this incident shows that there are "SOME KIND PEOPLE WHO DO CARE for others and will do their best to help regardless of their own situations. To me, this is really heart warming.
Then....the bad side to the story that at times, people is "better off" dead than being alive. This case is the proof of this saying. He was found to have $16 in his pocket when he was killed by the MRT....but by the time, he was sent off after a 5-days wake. His family has got about $500K cash from donations from the public. I don't want to comment on the impact of the $500K for the wife. Understand...big money does make people change their mind about sharing with others. Guess this is a fact of life.

2nd....jobless guy who got burnt to death in a EVO 8. This is really POWER!!! such irony that being jobless.....he still can afford to drive such expensive car. Asked yourself....for a married lady to ask for a car loan....maybe 30 to 40k and it may not be so easy to get but for a jobless guy to get this type of loan. SHIT....just don't add up, right? hahaha....something is really wrong here.
Anyway....that poor guy must be flying when he rammed into the 2 trees and got himself burnt to death. Pity? I don't think so.....lately I noticed some
young people are driving like there is no tomorrow on the roads esp in WRX, TSI, EVO, RX8, SP3, SP6 and in other modified cars. They must have think that the police has lost their "balls". Come to think of it, maybe so now hardly see them except on over-head bridges during the day time with their cameras.....I also see some young ladies in powerful cars having a "go" at speeding along the highway. Frankly I am okay with that....as long as they don't cut in and out of people's way. My main concern is the crazy uncles and aunites...speeding in their vans, pick-ups and small lorries in our neighbourhood roads. Even the bloody buses are speeding...and this type of speeding caused the most number of fatal accidents on our roads beside the motorcylists. For the motorcylists....they got "themselves" killed and got themselves to be blame for it. So to me....fair, but for these crazy uncles and aunties....they are the ones killing our children....parents and family members as they cross the roads or just standing at the bus stops. The case about the lorry driver killing a policeman on patrol duties at Dairy Farm Road. See....the stupid lorry has brake failure and the guy must be driving pretty fast and can't stop in time or for the policeman to get out of it's way....knocking into the group on the road.

3rd....MP's kid in elite class debate. Well...this may be a private blog but somehow it can end up being a public forum. To me....there is no right or wrong if a person air his or her own views but just got to pay attention to the use of the language. That may sound too elite for some people....esp the have-less or have-not-enough like me. hahaha....guess we Singaporeans tend to look for the government to help whenever we faced with some difficulties and we are kind of conditioned into this type of thinking esp with the older gen like mine. I read thru her comments....and I find it fair comment esp since I know that she comes from a well-to-do background.

4th....Common to see young people....Indians, chinese or even Malays speaking
"POWER" english or behaving like "ang mo" kias....just after they came back for some Ang Mo's Pubs along Orchard road. This is what happen on the Hari Raya day on last Tuesday. I was in a shopping mall and chance upon a group of Malays girls and boys
in their traditions dresses but they speak....POWER english, big surprise to me.
Yeah...some young people do go oversea for some short trips maybe to Australia but come home fully tuned into the ang mo's cultures...act as if they have stayed in Ang Mo's countries all their young lives hahaha. What to do....? Ang Mo...."tau kee" mah hehehe and the rest of the local people here just not measured up to their "new found" standards lor. SPG....hahaha. This happen everywhere...not just in Singapore.

Conclusion - Me....after working all these years, can only afford to drive a Toyota Corolla while a jobless goes around in a Evo. Yes! I am pissed :( off....feel cheated by the fucking government hahaha...easy to blame them mah.
